³⁰ “^[a]Those who are most ^(A)helpless will eat,
And the needy will lie down in security;
I will ^[b]destroy your root with ^(B)famine,
And it will kill off your survivors.
³¹ “Wail, O ^(C)gate; cry, O city;
^[c]Melt away, O ^(D)Philistia, all of you;
For smoke comes from the ^(E)north,
And ^(F)there is no straggler in his ranks.
³² “How then will one answer the ^(G)messengers of the nation?
That ^(H)the Lord has founded Zion,
And ^(I)the afflicted of His people will seek refuge in it.”
